Last Sunday was Announcement Day. The day all of the Rotary Outbounds (those of us leaving the country next year) were to find out which country they would call home for all of next year.
I think I was the most nervous of any of the outbounds. Walking up to the stage I felt like I was going to puke. My hands were shaking and it took me 100 years to open the envelope containing my destination. My parents made fun of me the whole way home...
In that photo is Sarah (the exchange student here currently from NZ) and myself just after I found out I'd be going to New Zealand! (Auckland area to be more specific.)
